Fort Myers, Florida

The city of palms and a lot of beaches. Our first day in Fort Myers was a little bit dowdy but we got on the trikes and headed out. We found a flea market to browse around in and all in all had a good day.
Dennis & Myrna spotted this very unique cafe during there outing around town. Today we went to our second flea market which we are sure is bigger than the one in Orlando which claims to be the biggest on the North American continent. Nope don't think so. Even with telephone contact we never did catch up with Dennis and Myrna in there.

After the flea market Rick and I happened upon a collectors car show.
Wow there had to be 300 cars there with all their proud owners. Rick figures there were around 100 corvettes. It was great to wander around on such a beautiful day.
Rick and I headed out to find the beaches and boy was it worth looking for! Fort Myers Beach is a seperate town on its own and is actually on an Island.

I spotted this great place "Smokin Oyster Brewery" and got Rick to make a quick turn and we stopped for a drink and lunch. Met some really neat people and really enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the place. The beaches have really white fine sand. The Fort Myers area is definitely number one as a vacation spot in our estimation.
