On the way down we stopped for a coffee at the Hungry Tarpon, which turned out to be a very unique place, right away the waitress pinned us as being Canadian EH! actually it was because we noticed on the menu that they served peanut butter with their bagels and we became very excited and that gave us away. It was one of those little out of the way places, that we like to stop at. You even had to go out the back door and over to a different part of the building to use the washroom.
Next stop Key West, but still in the wind. As it was around noon when we got there we stopped at the
Hogs Breath Saloon for lunch.
Finding parking was almost impossible, it was like all of Florida was in Key West.
It was so cold that the girls that were wearing bikinis 2 days ago were now in different attire. We browsed around a few of the shops on
Duval Street and met back at the trikes at 3:00 pm before heading back.
Irene and I got back at about 6:00 p.m. and Dennis and Myrna about 45 min later as they stopped for dinner. All Irene and I wanted was to get back to a warm motor-home.
