One Cloud in the Blue Sky!

The wind blew and the rain poured down all night long. Rick got up in the middle of the night and put in the awning. The decision was made because of the bad East Coast weather, not to go to Williamsburg, VA. We were on the road by 8:00 a.m. and we drove through the town of Gatlinburg and what a beautiful town it is, that reminded us of Kimberly, B.C. and Leavenworth, WA.
We weren't to far out of town and as we began to climb the snow began to fall. Dennis took a six mile detour over the parkway which saved us 30 miles of travelling in the snow. As we came over the top the sun broke out and the snow let up. The sunshine was appreciated by all! The wind has been a nuisance all day and has cut our gas mileage slightly. As you will notice by the photo Rick found one only cloud in the sky! What pretty blue sky! We are camped for the night at the Flying J in Columbia South Carolina. Even though the temperature is 12C the wind makes it feel cold. Not really complaining because the sun is shining brightly.
