What a great campground last night at Basswood Resort MO. We thought that we were staying ahead of the storms but when we left this a.m. we had snow flurries and then it turned to rain. Dennis decided to take a secondary road which cut off about 50 miles and it was a good thing that he did as we got into Springfield just as it was starting to freeze. 
They were closing the highway behind us because of the ICE!! We never stopped in Springfield due to the ice and also decided not to stop at Lamberts ( it is a cafe that throws buns to you, sort of unique ). We are staying at the Stagecoach RV Resort just south of Branson, at $16 per night. 
We have decided to take a cab into town and go for dinner, I picked out a restaurant the Fall Creek Steak and Catfish House that also had the buns that they toss to you. Sounds like fun eh!! Well guess what!! When I phoned the cab company and asked them to come and take us there they said that it had burned down, go figure that I would pick a place like that.
