A great day with friends

Back to the Yuma Proving Grounds.
We met Kevin & Helen out at the big guns near the entrance to the grounds around 10 a.m. Another lovely sunny day. Every day of the week the Golden Knight parachute jumpers practice different jumps, so this time there were two jumpers at a time. They are really fun to watch. But the wind picked up after we walked over to the Cactus Club for lunch and we found out that they cancelled the afternoon jumping. The four of us headed over to Imperial Dates and they had a date shake and Rick and I had date ice cream. Mmm good. On the way back in to Yuma we passed by many market gardens and right now they were cutting and packaging lettuce and Rick stopped to take some pictures of the process and talk to the foreman and he gave Kevin, Helen and Rick each a head of lettuce. They gave Rick their's so we have 3 large heads of lettuce to eat.
It is so good right off the field! When we got back to Yuma we stopped at "The Pub" for a drink before heading to the motor home.
Dennis & Myrna went out riding with Dick & Gerry Carson checking out campgrounds for future travels and then they headed into "Old Yuma" to look around. They stopped at the Mandarin Garden for a chinese food buffet. It was really good. It was a great day.
